The Story Behind Every Jar

Oupa Jêm is not a factory. It is one man, his pots, and fruit from local farms. Hennie Fyver started making preserves the way his mother taught him: slowly, carefully, and only when the fruit is ready.

Every jar is filled, sealed, and labelled by hand at 17 Primula Avenue in Durbanville. Some batches are only a dozen jars. When they are gone, they are gone until the next season.

No artificial preservatives. No colourants. No mass production. Real food made the old way.

Small Batch Made in limited quantities
Local Fruit Sourced from Western Cape farms
